Water Baptism has been an important part of the Christian life for thousands of years. Many children do not fully understand the purpose or reason why we have this practice in the Church. They have big questions like: Does the water wash away my sins? Do I have to be baptized to get into Heaven?

We tend to look at Bible heroes as “larger than life,” but the truth is they are no different than you or me. The disciples were average, ordinary people that Jesus called to follow Him. One of the most “average” disciples was a man named Simon. Simon was a fisherman. He was an average, ordinary guy.
